Promoting the Liberation of Entertainment Performance Animals from Suffering in the China Region
In the face of macroscopic animal welfare issues that cannot be cured by a single design proposal, I will not be arrogant and arrogant in trying to cure animal welfare issues. At the same time, I will not resort to extreme acts to draw attention to animal protection, as some extreme animal protection groups do. I will take a softer approach and subconsciously persuade people to reject animal performances.
The goal is to change people's perceptions in a subtle and non-persuasive way, without clashing with their old ones as much as possible. The product is designed to bring out the good in people.
A rejection of moral censure, a rejection of appeals and a focus on action.
Returning to the most basic needs, I choose the most frequent and basic products rather than non-essential ones. This allows the product to be used more widely.
The animals chosen are the most representative species of animal performances, such as sea lions, orangutans, elephants and horses, in order to stimulate a quick change in behaviour.

Product Interventions
How does the product enter into the context of boycotting animal performances? Consider intervening by exchanging souvenirs for animal show tickets, in terminating users' viewing of animal shows, hitting the first step of boycotting animal shows, and subsequently deepening the concepts of animal protection and refusal of animal shows in the process of human-product interactions (Figure10), thus influencing people's decision of whether or not to watch an animal show next time. The product itself has excellent usability and high-quality product appearance, which has strong social media communication significance.
Initiative letter
I drafted the initiative and designed a special e-envelope, e-stamp and e-postmark (Figure12) for it. Both the visual and textual aspects of the e-proposal convey the spiritual core of the boycott of animal performances.
Novel Book
To avoid moral controversy, use simple, age-appropriate language and visuals to clearly and directly communicate the ethical issues of animal performance in a way that is engaging but not overly distressing, use the story to go about increasing a child's empathy, and keep gore out of the picture book, emphasising acts of kindness and small things a child can be able to do. Highlight the emotions and feelings of the animals involved and encourage empathy and compassion. The result may not be very impactful and shocking, but it avoids moral controversy. For a more in-depth exploration of the design, a higher order version that reveals the true aroma of cruelty behind the animal show will be planned. Export a lower order version that is acceptable to young children and a higher order version that is more cruel.
The role entrusted to this picture book is not only to have the child make spontaneous moral judgements, but it is also a dialogue starter. This picture book should serve as a dialogue starter between parent and child or teacher and student. Provide caregivers with prompts and questions to facilitate meaningful discussion after reading.
