Innovative little designs.
This page contains a collection of interesting little product explorations that the author has done on the side of her class projects since studying product design. Deeply influenced by the theory and practice of designers such as Naoto Fukasawa, Kenya Hara, Dai Sato, and others.
Erupting aroma
When using traditional aromatherapy, you often encounter the trouble of not being able to find the ignition device. So I designed this volcanic aromatherapy based on the artistic conception. When using it, you only need to swipe the aromatherapy block on the volcano wall to light the aromatherapy block like a match, and you can enjoy it There is room for fragrance.
AIRPODS ear plugs
These Apple AirPods earbuds solve the problem of awkwardness when wearing earbuds for those who like to work in public. These AirPods earbuds are a humorous response to this problem. Wearing these earbuds looks like people are listening to music. These earbuds are a cheap and convenient alternative. Bringing a quiet working environment while avoiding some unnecessary interruptions, people will think twice about starting a conversation with people.
Springtime Bubble Vase
Capturing that in the spring season, people like to blow bubbles and pick flowers when they go out for a trip. The combination of elements such as spring and bubble blowing in the vase is like bringing spring back home. The childlike appearance of the vase gives a sense of calmness and a reminder of childhood.
Holding flower vase
Life needs a sense of ritual. It can be said that it is the happiest thing to receive a bouquet of flowers on a specific holiday. This design combines the shape of the vase and the bouquet, and you can get new surprises and blessings with this product.
Collector's Box Rings
This design breaks the mould of jewellery by leaving the most important part of the main stone to the user to choose, without the need for a setting. Through this clever ring design, you can put in anything you like, it can be a leaf, a small flower and so on, a little bit of life, creating a warm and romantic yet everyday way of recording. At the same time, it's not the diamond that dazzles but your ordinary, glittering life that is conveyed.
life of a pencil
In this way it is possible to create a sense of dependence and reverence for pencils, rather than using them and losing them somewhere. By having this one-to-one position of the graves, it allows them to use each pencil to its fullest letting which one gets the most out of it. Instead of being forgotten somewhere by mankind.
Zips for the blind
This accessible zipper design for the blind mainly assists color- cognizant, blind people who have acquired impaired vision to match their clothes. Braille is cleverly loaded on the zipper instead of elsewhere on the garment because the zipper has to be touched during the dressing itself, eliminating the need to fumble elsewhere on the garment to find information about the color of the garment. The redesigned zipper, with a larger contact area, facilitates the blind to perform dressing while quickly perceiving the color of the clothes by touchsg the Braile.
Sun Tattoo
When you go to the beach, if you don't protect yourself from the sun, you will more or less get a little darker, but sometimes it's hard to notice with the naked eye. I have designed this sun tattoo sticker to be removed when you return from a sunny excursion so that you can see the difference in colour of your skin. Of course this tattoo is also temporary and when your skin is its original colour, it disappears.
Graffiti doors
When students move into shared flats or dorms, they often have standard, nondescript doors. This design allows residents to personalise their living space and make it feel more like home by allowing them to paint over the door without damaging it. This personalisation can have a positive impact on their mental health and sense of belonging.
Graffiti doors can be conversation and icebreaker starters. When students visit each other's flats, they may comment on the graffiti, which can lead to interesting random discussions. Creating graffiti can be a therapeutic and stress-relieving activity.
Balloon humidifier
The design is inspired by the blowing and deflating of a balloon, a contraction and deflation that is easy to associate with. By linking this behaviour to a humidifier, the balloon appears to bulge when the water in the humidifier is full, and then deflates as the water gets less and less during use. The design is a vivid visualisation of the amount of water in the humidifier, adding a touch of fun to a frenetic life.
Garland Vase
The design is a playful one. In ancient Greek times people loved to wear garlands on their heads, combining the ancient Greek plaster head with a modern pose gives a modern interest to the antique statue. At the same time the statue has jacks in the head, so that when placed in the home, flowers can be inserted into the holes, as if giving him the feeling of wearing a wreath.
Redesigning shared bicycles
Through the dismantling of the bicycle, it is found that many parts of the bicycle can be combined with the furniture design, using the bicycle’s front fork, handlebar, frame, seat, and wheel, and through simple metal thermal processing, in the design as little as possible Add additional parts to complete the production and assembly of the complete set of furniture. At the same time, make full use of the original screw holes, as if the mortise and tenon structure interlock with each other, reduce additional processing and adopt simple processing techniques to improve the sustainability of shared bicycles use.
paper rain & snow
This is a product design of a creative paper shredder and hole punch. When I used the paper shredder and the hole punch, I watched different forms of broken paper fall and associated it with snow and rain. So hide the part that handles the paper in the clouds. Turn the boring shredded paper and perforation at work into a beautiful rain and snow scene, adding happiness to life.
oooooooooops
People often resist using a toilet brush to clean the toilet. When cleaning the toilet, they have a splendid look and hide their noses and close their eyes. This design is inspired by life, and hopes to disperse people’s negative emotions when cleaning the bathroom through this funny and cute look. Make cleaning become humorous.
Brain Sofa
The design is inspired by the biological model of the human brain and combines it with a modern sofa. The intense shape of the product provides a visual sense of relaxation. After the brain has been exhausted from working at high speed, it is then possible to rest on the "brain" again, as if recharging, to replenish energy. It is hoped that the design will not only reduce fatigue physically, but also give people a sense of relaxation mentally.
Belly Bag Cup
The design of this mug recreates the shape of a large belly, a pleasing design that makes the user think it is cute at first glance. But when the belly grows into their own body it creates body anxiety. I wanted to use this piece to tell people to accept their bodies, that abs are healthy and that a big belly is cute. If it's not for health reasons, a little belly doesn't hurt.
AIR SHOT
Have a creative break from work. Why send the pen back to its home properly, why not have a fun desktop pen throwing game. Inspired by the AirPods launched by Apple and the ancient Chinese game of pot throwing.
Sunflower Sharing Cup
The design is a set of combined cups, consisting of three different looking modules. When the cups are placed in layers, they take on the appearance of a sunflower when viewed from above. The sunflower signifies a positive energy and is a symbol of goodness. The sleek semantics of the shape give a sense of warmth and when the cups are put in place one by one and hung all over the cup holder, there is a sense of belonging that gives the family a sense of reunion.
hands up
Self creative modeling training:
Extract the hand movement of lifting, carry out creative modeling training, and apply it to the chair to give people a sense of security.
shap with you
The original intention of designing this chair is to create a chair that can talk to people. By covering the chair surface with an elastic material, the chair will show different states when people sit on it in different sitting positions. The shape adopts the image of a butterfly, and a person sitting on a chair looks like a butterfly waving its wings.
Lace Chair
A creative depiction of a chair characterised by lace, using the properties of the material. A soft emotional experience, but with strong support.
needle package
Creative and unique human-shaped acupuncture pin cushion design. This pin cushion is the perfect sewing companion. It is made of silicone to imitate human skin. This will be the greatest gift for people who often use the needle as a tool! The pin cushion is 10 cm (4 inches) long from the head to the tip of the tail. It has many red dots on it to express acupuncture points.Using this product to store needles is like doing acupuncture for people.
Straw fan
When using a desktop fan in the hot summer, I was troubled by the inability to adjust the wind direction freely, so I wanted to design a fan that can freely adjust the wind direction and angle. The combination of fan and straw shape cleverly and interestingly achieves this goal.
lonely it
Global warming has displaced many animals. Animals such as walruses, penguins, and polar bears are gradually losing their homes for survival. This plate was designed in line with the original intention of recognizing humanistic care and calling people to protect the environment. The plate is fragile. The combination of resin and ceramic outlines the fragmented ice surface. I hope that when people use this plate, they can think of Animals who lost their homes. Do more things that are good for the environment.
Earbud Audio
The design of the soundbox is inspired by the way the earbuds are used. When you want to listen to music, you remove the earbuds; when you don't want to listen to music, you put them in. Sometimes you can hear the faint sound of music when you are not careful and the earbuds are not plugged in properly! This work bucks the trend in an age where everything is smart, giving spirit and humour to the simple actions of everyday life.
Dental Pins
This design creatively links the correlation between the tooth and the peg symbol. A whole set of teeth are arranged on a pink gum sponge cushion, and each time you take a peg and place a peg, it is like the process of pulling out a tooth and placing it. With this creative peg design, you will pay more attention to the return of the pegs to their place, rather than placing them randomly in the box. In addition, you will also be more concerned about where each tooth peg goes, because losing a peg means that your whole set of teeth is missing teeth. Creative peg design gives a little fun in office and study life.
Worry Alarm Clock
The act of checking the time is essentially a vehicle for small anxiety; we feel time passing so quickly or so slowly when we check it. Time slips away as we fret. I have captured this momentary form and combined it with an alarm clock. When the alarm clock is placed on the table, there is a unique experience of you looking at the clock, the clock looking at you, and the lifeless mechanical clock comes to life.
Ring Holder Trunk Mug
A cup that can hold rings. In terms of styling, it resembles both a tree trunk and a shower for watering plants. It is presented like a sculpture on the tabletop while taking on the function of ring storage.
Vision Test Cup
Vision test chart cups to test your vision in between jobs.
Cup Cake
You can have no cake on your birthday, but you must make a wish.
